Abu Dhabi: US Ambassador to the UAE Barbara A Leaf is leading a sizeable UAE investor delegation to the Select USA Investment Summit being held in Washington, DC currently, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The summit is the highest profile event connecting global companies and US economic development organisations to facilitate business investment in the United States.
The US-UAE trade and investment relationship is strong, with the UAE being the 16th-largest export market globally, the third-largest trade surplus partner worldwide, and the number one source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Middle East. The UAE is also the seventh-fastest growing source of FDI in the United States.
“As the nation’s premier FDI event, the summit brings business opportunities and resources from across the United States together in a single place, enabling participants to complete weeks of work in fewer than three days,” Ambassador Leaf said.
