Sharjah: The FDI Forum opened in the city where the fourth industrial revolution will be the central topic. The forum was opened by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

"It is anticipated that the fourth industrial revolution will change the way we live forever, looking at its increasing influence in every aspect of our lives. However, far-reaching its impacts may already be, the concept is fairly new with global economies trying to get to grips with it,” Marwan Bin Jasem Al Sarkal, the chief executive officer of Shurooq, told Gulf News by email.

“The Sharjah FDI Forum this year will function as a one-stop shop for answering your questions and for gaining expert insights into what the future of the world seeing unprecedented proliferation rapidly advanced technologies like AI [Artificial Intelligence], robotics, IoT [Internet of Things] and more may be. The two-day forum is set to help investors identify and capitalise on an array of prospects and markets from Sharjah and the UAE to the rest of the Mena [Middle East and North Africa] region,” he said.

The forum is a two-day event and will end on Wednesday.
