Ras Al Khaimah, DIFC unit sign key legal pact

Agreement will allow eligible investors and residents in Ras Al Khaimah to enforce their personal wills

Dubai: A new agreement, signed by Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai’s DIFC Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA), will allow for direct enforcement of DIFC Courts probate orders covering the wills of non-Muslim residents and investors with assets in the emirate.

The agreement will allow eligible investors and residents in Ras Al Khaimah to enforce their personal wills, protecting their assets and their families as they see fit, DIFC Wills and Probate Registry said in a statement.

“As more people are choosing to set up businesses, work and live in Ras Al Khaimah, using the successful DIFC Wills and Probate Registry system will increase their confidence and commitment, allowing them to put down roots and build happy lives and a thriving businesses,” Chancellor Ahmad Mohammad Al Khatri, Chairman of RAK Courts Department said in a statement.
