Dubai: Nakheel awarded a contract for Dh27.5 million worth of road at Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC).

This announcement closely follows a report in Gulf News about complaints from residence of the area regarding access works in key developments.

Nakheel also issued a tender that will link JVC to Hessa Street. JVC currently is one of the key emerging residential communities within the Nakheel portfolio. Dubai-based KTC International contracting has been awarded the contract.

The work is expected to begin in a few weeks and should take ten months for completion.

There have been consistent complaints raised on social media about the lack of information related to access into and within JVC.

The JVC development has the capacity to house nearly 300,000 people when the project is completed Jumeirah Village Circle, one of the key Nakheel developments, consists of more than 700 villas developed by Nakheel and over 230 other buildings from third party developers. JVC will also be home to The Circle Mall.
