The Dubai Shopping Festival office called a briefing session on Wednesday for participants of the Gulf-wide road shows. They kick off in Jeddah on December 13 and will conclude in Muscat on December 23.

Ebrahim Saleh, Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) chief operating officer addressed the gathering, comprising delegates from various top hotels, the travel trade and car rental companies during the meeting at the Department of Economic Development in Dubai.

Saleh stressed the importance of the roadshows, which he said provided not only the DSF delegation but trade representatives, an opportunity to interact with tour operators from GCC countries during workshops and with the media at press conferences held in the region.

He informed delegates of the schedule, answered relevant queries about the practicalities of the workshops and discussed the various promotions being offered by participants to visitors from GCC countries.

The DSF is now established as a strong medium in revitalising trade and tourism in the country. Much is happening in its tenth year celebrations which are bound to break earlier records of spending and tourist numbers.

An opportunity has been provided for the travel trade to promote its unique services and facilities to regional guests, who are expected to arrive in much larger numbers.
