Dubai: UAE banks will remain closed for three days starting the first day of Eid according to a circular issued by the Central Bank of UAE to all banks operating in the country.

All banks will resume operation on the fourth day after Eid. Although branch operations will remain closed for business during the Eid holidays, banks said electronic service delivery channels such as ATMs, smartphone and internet banking applications will continue to work during the holidays.

To meet the holiday demand, banks have stocked up cash across their ATM networks in all locations.

Some banks are also keeping limited branch operations open at airports. Emirates NBD said while its Terminal 3 branch at Dubai International Airport will be open for teller services and for exchange of foreign currency only, its 24-hour pay-offices at Dubai International Airport will continue to accept and exchange foreign currency notes.
