Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, Saturday issued a decision appointing Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as chairman of the board of directors of Noor Islamic Bank.
Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad replaces Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who is also President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates airline and Group.
Emirates NBD board
In another decision issued Saturday, Shaikh Mohammad appointed Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed chairman of the board of directors of Emirates NBD bank.
Hesham Abdullah Al Qasim has been named deputy chairman and Mohammad Obaid Al Shehhi, Mohammad Hadi Ahmad Abdullah Al Hussaini and Shoaib Mer Hashim Khouri as members of the board.
They replace Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer, Eisa Saleh Al Gurg, Fardan Ali Al Fardan, Khaled Jasem Bin Kalban, Abdullah Ahmad Lootah and Hamad Mubarak Bu Omaim in the bank’s board.
The new chairman and members have been appointed to the board as representatives of the Dubai Government.
The decisions take effect immediately and will be published in the gazette.
