Rakbank has introduced evening banking services in Dubai and Sharjah, bank representatives said.
"Customers can now take advantage of extended banking hours at all Rakbank branches in Dubai and Sharjah. These are Deira branch, Al Maktoum Street; Dubai main branch, beside Lamcy Plaza; Gold Souk branch; Shaikh Zayed Road branch in Dubai; as well as our King Faisal Road branch in Sharjah," said Murray Sims, head of personal banking at Rakbank.
"The new opening hours of these Rakbank branches are from 8am to 7pm Saturday to Wednesday and from 8am to noon on Thursdays," Sims said.
All regular banking transactions can be conducted during these extended hours — with the exception of cash and cheque transactions, which will only be accepted from 8am to 1pm Saturday to Wednesday and 8am to noon on Thursdays.
Otherwise, customers can still make payments and deposits through the EDMs or ATMs available in those branches, bank representatives said.
"We know how busy life can be," said Graham Honeybill, general manager of Rakbank.
"Evening banking is designed to make banking more convenient," he said.
