Dubai: A number of services at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) will be temporarily suspended for three days from September 30, as the bank undergoes a systems upgrade.

Among the services that won’t be available are cash transactions, including deposits and withdrawals at a branch, cheque payment and encashment, as well as sending and receiving money.

Customers can still make withdrawals from ATM machines and use their credit and debit cards for in-store and online purchases, but they won't receive SMS notifications for their transaction during the three-day period.

Branch services

“Branches will be open, however, most services will be unavailable,” the bank said in an advisory posted on its website. “Cash services, including deposits and withdrawals will be unavailable.”

Cheque collections, service requests and trade services related applications/ documents will be accepted at the branch but they will be processed only from October 3 onwards.

"From 4pm Saturday, 30th of September to 8am Tuesday, 3rd of October, our services will be limited, as we are enhancing our systems to serve you better," says an automated message from the bank's call centre.

ATM services

Cash withdrawals via debit cards can be made through ADCB and other banks’ ATMs. However, cash withdrawals using credit cards will be available only at other banks’ ATMs.

The following services will be temporarily unavailable during the three-day period:

Mobile banking

Internet banking

Cash and cheque deposit

Cheque payment and encashment

Funds transfer

Direct debit and standing instructions
