Dubai The luxury retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has in alliance with Abu Dhabi-based HAMG acquired Al Manara Jewellery. It will now be known as Al Manara International Jewellery.
The move is a result of a strategic business partnership between the two companies to tap the Abu Dhabi market.
Al Manara Jewellery, founded in 1973, is one of the prominent luxury watch and jewellery boutiques in Abu Dhabi and retains a strong portfolio of brands. The transaction has the full backing of Al Manara's senior management.
"We are a family-owned and run company which has been built on passion, trust, loyalty, and to be entrusted by Al Manara Jewellery is a testament to their confidence and sharing of the same values and principles," Abdul Hamed Seddiqi, vice chairman of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and chairman of the board of directors at Al Manara International Jewellery, said.
A natural fit
"The acquisition was a strategic decision and the partnership with HAMG in Abu Dhabi was a natural fit given their experience in the luxury sector and the synergies brought to the partnership."
Al Manara operates showrooms in Al Khalidiya, Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi Mall, and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi and in Al Ain as well. The brand portfolio includes Patek Philippe, Chopard, Audemars Piguet, Harry Winston and Piaget, among others.

Product launch
The Gc-3 AquaSport Colour Boost for men will be introduced next month. It will be available at 1915 by Seddiqi and Gc boutiques.
