Dubai: Retailer Marka has signed an agreement with the UEFA, the European football’s governing body, to open UEFA Champions League Experience stores in the Middle East, according to a company statement on Sunday.

The first store will open at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi in May 2015, followed by another branch in Dubai in late 2015. More stores are expected to open across the region starting this year.

The Yas Mall store, covering an area of 17,000 square-feet, will feature a combined retail and restaurant offering, according to the statement.

The outlet will also feature merchandise from football teams like Real Madrid CF, FC Bayern Munchen, FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC, as well as a museum where customers can learn about their favourite teams.
