Dubai: Food and beverage chain Just Falafel has made changes to its executive management team, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Fadi Malas, chief executive of Just Falafel, leaves the company to pursue new business incubation opportunities in the small and medium sized enterprises (SME) sector, and Mohammed Bitar, the company’s founding partner and managing director, will manage the retailer’s operations, as per the statement.

Bitar will work to maintain Just Falafel’s service standards and fulfil its growth objectives alongside his colleagues, such as Mike Biggins, the company’s COO, who is managing the company’s menu choices and a new restaurant roll out programme.

“Going forward, we will draw on Just Falafel’s greatest resources — the expertise and enthusiasm of our colleagues as well as the commitment of our regional and international franchise partners — to continue the momentum and growth trajectory of Just Falafel in the Middle East as well as the US, Europe and Asia. Our immediate priorities include the streamlining of our operations to optimise resources and efficiency, while concentrating on Just Falafel’s fundamentals of high quality, nutritious street food and excellent service in ideal locations for our growing customer base,” stated Bitar.

Just Falafel was established in 2007 and has more than 50 stores globally.
