“So far we have got 11 confirmed orders as of Sunday afternoon and the customers can pick up the cars from the dealer AGMC,” Nilesh Khalkho, CEO of Sharaf DG, told Gulf News.
He said all the three companies – Hisense, Sharaf DG and BMW – have invested in this offer.
“We have 22 cars and 25 TVs for ready delivery. In case the demand goes beyond that, then all the three partners have to sit and discuss how the logistics can be done because the cars have to be imported. If it exceeds then the customer will have to wait until December to get the car,” Khalkho said. He added the TV is not off the shelf manufacturing and it is limited, and that it is not a mass produced item.
According to Terry Wang, general manager of Hisense Middle East, the activity is part of the company’s marketing strategy. “We will not make any money out of this activity and just wanted to contribute to Gitex growth,” he said.
