Dubai: MAG Property Development has launched six projects with a combined development cost of $3 billion (Dh11 billion). This includes the MAG 1978, which will be the Group’s future headquarters, in Business Bay. The developer has assigned the design to Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), which also did the Burj Khalifa.

The US firm is also providing its design expertise to MAG Luxury, located in Burj Khalifa District. There will only be 62 apartments in the upscale property. “Cityscape is the ideal forum for us to announce our forthcoming projects, which this year comprise six residential and mixed-use developments,’’ said Talal Al Gaddah, CEO of MAG Property Development.

A third project is The Estate at Al Furjan, while the other two are at MAG 230 (in the City of Arabia) and MAG 226 (in Jumeirah Village Circle). The developer has also extended the reach into the US with The Gate located in Frisco, Texas, and entailing an investment of $750 million.

In Dubai, MAG recently completed the Polo Residence located in the heart of Meydan City. The gated community brings together 29 four-storey buildings.
