Abu Dhabi: DecoVision, an Abu Dhabi-based interior contracting and design firm, announced it recently won a Dh150 million project to furbish the interiors of the Etihad Towers which are being built along the Abu Dhabi Corniche opposite the Emirates Palace Hotel.

Valued at an estimated Dh2.5 billion and rising over 300 metres, Etihad Towers will comprise five towers including a high-end hotel to be managed by the Jumeirah Group. It will also host an exciting retail mix at its podium level.

Designed by Australian international design consultant DBI, the towers will boast dramatic design elements and an architectural personality complemented by distinctive interior décor.

DecoVision has been commissioned to execute decoration works for the Jumeirah hotel comprising 400 guest suites, and 182 serviced apartments, along with a host of public areas including the lobby, spa, gymnasium, beach and pool bars, the company said. Additionally it will furbish 12 restaurants ranging from casual-chic to fine dining and an observation deck with a panoramic view in all directions.

Yousuf Farran, Managing Director of DecoVision since the company's inception, said: "With our track record in implementing large-scale projects, we are especially proud to have won the bid for the Etihad Towers project.

"We are grateful to Shaikh Surour Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan and the management team of Etihad Towers for selecting DecoVision.

"DecoVision will be working on the furniture, fit-outs, joinery and laying out [of] marble flooring and panels. The scale of the development has presented us with an opportunity to reinforce our reputation as Abu Dhabi's preferred interior solutions provider. The expected date of delivery is early 2011."

The contract was awarded to DecoVision based on its experience in designing and executing major hospitality, commercial, residential and government spaces, he added. Some of these include the Khalidiyah Palace Rotana Hotel and two luxury restaurants at the Emirates Palace Hotel.

Farran added: "DecoVision has the ability to turn around material from our own furniture and decoration factory, giving us greater quality and operational control and considerably reducing the lead time. We believe our advantage lies in our ability to easily accommodate clients' requests for customisation."
