Abu Dhabi — The eighth edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi kicked off on Tuesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) with 120 regional and international exhibitors including Aldar Properties, Arabtec Holding, Mubadala, and Urban Planning Council, among others.

The exhibition, which is the UAE’s largest property investment showcase, grew by 15 per cent in 2014, with exhibitors covering 15,000 square metres of space.

The number of pre-registered visitors also grew by 26 per cent year-on-year, as more property developers are attending to announce their latest projects.

“ Abu Dhabi real estate has regained momentum, showing very healthy sales price, and rental increases that reflect increased investor confidence in the emirate’s property market,” said Wouter Molman, director of Cityscape Group at Informa Exhibitions, organisers of the event.

While all the big local players are out in force at the event, international representation is also strong, with exhibitors coming from Kuwait, Jordan, India, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Egypt, USA, and the UK.

The Turkish participants are one of the major attractions as several developers are showcasing large scale real estate projects in the country.

The three-day event was officially opened by Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi.
