Dubai: Nakheel, the real estate developer has commenced construction of the Discovery Gardens Community Centre, with an area of 8,700 square metres. Retailers and restaurants have occupied the available stores on an area of 6,000 sq.m.
Over 20 registered local and global trademarks have signed contracts to occupy available outlets at the centre, which is planned to open by early 2014.
The centre aims to provide services to the 24,000 houses in Farjan and Discovery Gardens and Garden Community. The centre also includes a daycare centre along with a wide range of stores.
Nakheel has also finished over 40 per cent of construction work of the Jumairah Park community centre which will serve thousands of residents of Jumairah Park, Jumairah Village, Jumairah Islands and other areas in the proximity. It is planned to open by the end of 2013, and is 100 per cent rented out to 30 stores.
