Dubai: Architectural and engineering consulting firms, Dewan Architects & Engineers, said, it has been awarded the contract to design the Samarra University, an educational project coming up in the historic city of Samarra, about 124 km north of Baghdad. The university, which is expected to house around 12,000 students and a large number of faculty members, is planned to be implemented in three stages, with the first stage to be built by 2015, the company said in a statement.
