Foundation laying works for the Armada Group's Dh1 billion Armada Towers project being built at the Jumeirah Lake Towers has been completed.

CSHK Dubai Contracting LLC, which is handling the project, has begun the next stage of construction.

The company was awarded a Dh315 million contract for the construction of Armada Towers in July this year.

Dr Mohammad Raheef Hakmi, chairman of the Armada Group, said: "With the help of the expertise of CSHK Dubai, Group member of China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd, the foundation laying work has been completed in record time. CSHK Dubai has already begun work on the next stage. This will also enable the project to be completed within 28 months."

Once completed, the three Armada Towers will house 1,200 apartments.

The development will offer 21,000 square feet of external and 15,000 square feet of internal retail space.

In all, it will have a total build up area of around 1.6 million square feet. Armada Towers will also house 12 penthouses, four in each tower.
