Abu Dhabi: Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, announced the expansion plans for phase 1, 2, and 5 of Masdar City as Cityscape Abu Dhabi kicked off on Tuesday.

Five per cent of the project has already been completed, with around 35 per cent of the planned built-up area for Masdar City set for completion over the next five years.

Cityscape, now in its tenth year, runs until Thursday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), and brings together over 90 exhibitors.

Major developers from Abu Dhabi have already announced their latest projects, which they are launching and showcasing at Cityscape. These include the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), which launched its six million square metre mixed-use development, Saadiyat Lagoons District, at the event.

Aldar Properties is also showcasing its latest project, announced on Monday, Yas Acres to investors at Cityscape. The Dh6 billion residential and leisure project will feature 1,315 villas once it is completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Other developers at Cityscape include Bloom Properties, Mubadala Development Company, Manazel Real Estate, Tamouh Investments, Eagle Hills, and Trafalgar Properties, among others.
