The specialist packaged food supplier Chef M.E. has opened its Dh75 million and 10,000 square metre distribution hub in Dubai Investments Park. The facility is triple the size of its predecessor and includes over 7,000 square meters of temperature-controlled storage areas that can accommodate up to 8,000 pallets of food and related products.
The centre also houses an open plan kitchen with equipment suitable for introducing new food concepts. The company operates a fleet of 50 multi-temperature distribution vehicles, and clients include the hotel, dining and airline industries.
“It will optimise our operational efficiency and enable us to offer our discerning customers the freshest, top quality ingredients,” said Steve Pyle, CEO of Chef. “This facility is custom-designed by food service distribution professionals and incorporates design and technology which will enable us to provide a better customer experience across our value chain.”
