Dubai: Dubai is to be home to a unique fusion of Hollywood and Bollywood red carpet glamour at the Dh1.3 billion Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort, to be built as part of the Bawadi hospitality and tourism boulevard.
The first of its kind project is the brainchild of Plantation Holdings that has signed a development agreement with Bawadi, a member of Tatweer, to create the themed tourist attraction.
Arif Mubarak, CEO of Bawadi, and Arthur Fitz-william, Managing Director of Plantation Holdings, signed the agreement in the presence of senior representatives from Bawadi and Russel Sharpe, the hospitality development director at Plantation Holdings.
"Bawadi's association with Plantation Holdings is not new. It is already in partnership with Dubailand as developers of the Equestrian and Polo Club," Arif Mubarak said.
Plantation Holdings is a consortium of high net worth individuals who have come together to invest in prestigious projects, including the Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort.
Arthur Fitzwilliam, managing director of Plantation Holding said: "The resort will bring the best from the two worlds of entertainment. A unique fusion of the East and the West, it will create a truly exquisite blend of the ultimate in showbiz."
