Dubai: Aldar Properties returns with what has been a winning strategy for it — the sale of good-sized plots to UAE nationals.

On Sunday, Aldar launched first public sales at Nareel Island, an island community in the ‘heart of Abu Dhabi’, according to a statement. There are 32 plots on offer.

This follows an earlier off-market release which fetched Dh500 million in sales reservations.

“The exceptional location makes it a once in a lifetime opportunity for Emiratis who are looking to build homes for themselves and future generations,” said Mohammad Al Mubarak, CEO.

Nareel Island is close to the exclusive Al Bateen area of central Abu Dhabi, Emirates Palace and Etihad Towers.

The development consists of two islands comprising 148 villa plots, many with waterfront access.

Purchasers will be provided with clear design guidelines, to ensure that Nareel Island is developed in line with the community’s own identity.

Aldar has had a busy schedule of launches since the beginning of the year, including multiple ones on the eve of the recent Cityscape Abu Dhabi. It has also started to pitch projects at the affordable end of the market.
