Fuelled by a 25 per cent demand surge for home fittings, Al Danube Building Materials, a leading supplier to the construction industry, has opened the third showroom of its subsidiary 'Doors and Wardrobes', in Sharjah recently.

"The mega construction projects in Dubai and the frenetic construction activity across the country have prompted us to expand the operations of Doors and Wardrobes," said Rizwan Sajan, chairman of Al Danube. "There has been a 25 per cent increase in demand for home fittings over the past two years.

"We decided to launch the Sharjah showroom to enable our growing clientele there and in the northern emirates to have access to our product range."

The company specialises in doors, wardrobes, kitchens and sanitary fittings, including jacuzzis.

The other showrooms of the fast growing chain are located in Dubai and Muscat.

Doors and Wardrobes has a state of the art production facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone where kitchens and wardrobes are manufactured with components imported from Europe.

"With the significant increase in demand, Doors and Wardrobes will launch later this month a new doors factory," Sajan added.

He said the Sharjah showroom will have a facility to design doors, ward-robes, kitchens and baths tailored to individual customer tastes. A range of jacuzzis with features like music and digital temperature control is also available.

The latest showroom was jointly inaugurated by Ghanem Mubarak Al Ghansham, the sponsor of the new facility, and Shabnam Nisar Kasam, a businesswoman. Sajan was also present.

Asif Noor, general manager of Doors and Wardrobes, said competitive pricing and elegant designing would provide a strong appeal to potential customers.
