Dubai: UAE stocks edged lower on Monday, with Dubai index losing more than half a per cent.

The Dubai Financial Market General Index was down 0.71 per cent at 3,834.69. Dubai Islamic Bank was down 1 per cent at Dh6.93.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange General Index was also down 0.27 per cent at 4,557.90.

Meanwhile, crude oil fell to the lowest level in almost six years as signs that Saudi Arabia’s new king will maintain its production policy and rising U.S. crude stockpiles bolstered speculation that a global glut will persist.
