Karachi: Pakistan's Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index fell 32, or 0.3 per cent, to 10,050.04.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd, Pakistan's biggest distributor, fell 4.5 per cent to Rs29.62, the lowest close in nine weeks, after the regulator said tariffs would be reduced.

Pakistan plans to reduce gas tariffs by 2.55 per cent charged by Sui Northern and Sui Southern Gas Co., the nation's gas distributors, according to a statement posted on the website of the regulatory agency.

The reduced tariffs are recommended to be effective from July 1, Islamabad-based Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority said in the statement.

Sui Southern Gas Co., Pakistan's second-biggest distributor, fell 5.4 per cent to Rs17.64, the most in seven months, after the regulator said tariffs would be reduced.
