Karachi: Pakistani stocks ended up at a near two-week closing high on buying by foreign investors which boosted local investor confidence, dealers said.
The Karachi Stock Exchange's benchmark 100-share index KSE rose 46.84 points, or 0.48 per cent, to end at 9,787.03 on turnover of 178.74 million shares.
The index ended at 9,823.57 points on February 23.
Pakistan's short-term money rates ended flat at top levels yesterday amid a shortage of funds and dealers said they were waiting for a treasury bill auction scheduled for today,
Overnight call rates ended at 12.40 per cent, unchanged from Monday's close.
"We are waiting for the T-bill auction, however we're not expecting any significant change in the cut-off yields," said a brokerage dealer.
