DFM index closes almost flat at 0.12 per cent
The Dubai Financial Market index closed almost flat, at a 0.12 per cent retreat to 1,679.94. Investors are sitting on the sidelines in expectation of second quarter results.
Dubai: The Dubai Financial Market index closed almost flat, at a 0.12 per cent retreat to 1,679.94. Investors are sitting on the sidelines in expectation of second quarter results.
Arabtec saw the most trading, but closed down 3.97 per cent to Dh2.42. Emaar gained 2.11 to Dh2.42 and the DFM stock advanced 0.70 per cent to Dh1.44.
Deyaar shed 1.41 per cent to Dh0.70 and Drake and Scull closed down by 1.18 per cent to Dh0.84. The company announced its second quarter results with a 38 per cent increase in net profits on first quarter at Dh75 million.
Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index also saw slight retreat at 0.37 per cent to close at 2,579.38.
Telecommunication, construction, banking and real estate saw losses, while consumer, health care, industrial and energy sectors gained in today's trading.
Etisalat closed down 0.50 per cent to Dh10, dragging the sector down. Dana Gas gained 0.98 per cent to Dh1.03.
Aldar Properties and Sorouh Real Estate both shed value, closing down 2.81 per cent to Dh3.46 and 3.54 per cent to Dh2.45 respectively.
