Dubai Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer met with representatives of the US Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in Dubai on Monday, and discussed bilateral economic relations. They also discussed the latest regional and international financial developments, including financial markets and the future of the exchange rate and interest rates, the ministry of finance said in a statement. The two parties also discussed the global economic challenges that may affect the economic growth rate as well as the importance of adopting the principles of financial transparency. The meeting highlighted the level of economic growth in advanced industrial countries in addition to the importance of the role given to countries with emerging economies, and their influence in supporting the global economy by driving growth and creating job opportunities.
