Abu Dhabi: The UAE stock markets ended the fourth trading day of the new year mixed, while the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) index was up marginally, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADX) general index fell a bit.
The DFM index rose 0.06 per cent to 1,819.87 on Wednesday, while the ADX general index fell 0.29 per cent to close at 2,766.53.
In Dubai, 130.83 million shares worth Dh325.7 million were transacted, while in Abu Dhabi, 80.66 million shares worth Dh156.57 million were traded.
In Dubai, the stock of real estate major rose 0.50 per cent to Dh4.04, while Arabec's shares were up 0.37 per cent to Dh2.72. Emaar's shares worth Dh197.86 million were traded.
In Abu Dhabi, Aldar Properties and Dana Gas stocks were the most traded scrips by value.
