Emirates Group, which includes Emirates Airlines, today announced profits rose 51.9 per cent over the last year. The company reported revenue of $15.6 billion and net profit of $1.6 billion. It holds cash reserves of $4.4 billion.

The Emirates Airlines reported 14.5 per cent growth in the number of passengers it carried to 31.4 million persons.
