Tatweer selects Hill to manage Bawadi project
Construction consulting firm Hill International has been selected by Tatweer, part of Dubai Holding, to provide project management services for its Dh100-billion ($27.2 billion) Las Vegas-style Bawadi tourism development project.
Dubai: Construction consulting firm Hill International has been selected by Tatweer, part of Dubai Holding, to provide project management services for its Dh100-billion ($27.2 billion) Las Vegas-style Bawadi tourism development project.
Hill said it has been providing planning services in connection with the project for the past year.
Bawadi, believed to be the most expensive privately financed development project. Bawadi will comprise 31 hotels to be built over the next eight years, which will nearly double the current number of hotel rooms available in Dubai.
"We are awed by our client's vision and look forward to Hill's involvement in this prestigious project," said Raouf S. Ghali, president of Hill's International Project Management Group. Tatweer expects that Bawadi will host 3.3 million guests annually by 2016.
Tatweer's proposed theme-based hotels will include the Desert Gate Hotels & Resorts, the Wahat Alkuttab Hotels, the Desert Beach Hotel & Resort, the Land of Arabia Hotels & Resorts, the Wild Wild West Hotels, the Africa World Hotels, the Europa Hotels & Resorts and the Pirate's Cove Hotels & Resorts.
