Dubai: Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings has been awarded a landmark project to construct by SNC-Lavalin Gulf Contractors for the Tabreed Cooling Plant (Civil, Architectural & Building Services Works) at Dubai Metro's Project at Al Rigga, Union Square, Dubai.
The Dh33.4 million building is expected to be completed by April 2009. The project is spread across over 800 square metres of land.
Amana is one of the fast track and turnkey construction companies in the Middle East.
In his comments on the project, Mohammad Al Qarout, General Manager at Amana Special Projects, said: “The civil architecture building for Dubai Metro Plant in Dubai is a prestigious project for us.
“The cooling plant has two levels in the basement due to height restrictions in the area. Moreover, it is a very challenging project for Amana considering that Al Rigga is a very congested area and most of the construction will be carried out at night.''
The project win reiterates Amana's capabilities to execute time-sensitive projects within budget and with world-class quality materials.
