Dubai: Limitless LLC, the Dubai state-owned developer that's bidding for the UK's Minerva Plc, opened an office in Istanbul to help it tap rising demand for homes, retail space and hotel rooms in Turkey.
The company is planning a number of "mixed-use developments in Turkey, whose growing population and trend toward urbanization will create a shortfall of around 5.5 million homes over the next eight years," Bahaa Abouhatab, regional director for the Levant and Turkey, said in an emailed statement on Sunday.
Limitless, a unit of Dubai World, has more than $100 billion of projects under way in seven countries, according to the statement.
Last year the company said it will undertake a $12 billion project to build 60,000 homes in Saudi Arabia as part of a plan to replicate large-scale Dubai developments in other markets, adding to a $12 billion home-building project in India and ventures in Vietnam and Malaysia.
