Dubai: A board of trustees has been formed for the Emirates National Human Resources Development Programme by a decree by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence.

According to the decision No. 13/2005, the board will have Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer as Chairman, and the Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry as deputy chairman.

Other members will be Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair of Mashreqbank, Dr Anwar Gargash of Gargash Enterprises, Omar Abdullah Al Futtaim of Al Futtaim Group, Khalid Juma Al Majid of Juma Al Majid Group, Abdul Aziz Al Ali of Emirates Group, Mohammad Malek of Majid Al Futtaim Investments, Abdul Karim Ahmad Al Mazami of Shell, Joseph Hanania of Hewlett Packard, and Gerald Lols of Jumeirah.

The second article addresses standards of employment for UAE nationals in the private sector.

It suggested solutions to facilitate greater private sector recruitment.

The mission includes urging the private sector to benefit from the free services presented by the Emirates National Development Programme.

The programme will provide trained personnel who can contribute to the private sector.

The board will also study the problems that are presently inhibiting the employment of nationals in the private sector.

The board is expected to make suggestions that will help overcome these obstacles.

The third article in the decree states that board meetings shall be held at the chairman's request, and will be called at least once every three months, making a minimum of three yearly meetings.

The fourth article in the decree states that the chairman will present reports to the Executive Council describing the achievements that have been made as a result of the board's recommendations.

The board will study problems that are presently inhibiting employment of nationals within the private sector.
