Al Rostamani Pegel wins Omniyat's Pad contract
Omniyat Properties has awarded the main construction works of The Pad to a UAE-German joint venture company, Al Rostamani Pegel.
Dubai: Omniyat Properties has awarded the main construction works of The Pad to a UAE-German joint venture company, Al Rostamani Pegel.
The works have already begun and they are expected to be completed in December 2009.
"The Pad has earned several awards and distinctions from the international development community for its advanced technological design and functionality," said Mehdi Amjad, president and CEO of Omniyat Properties.
The Pad, a 24-storey futuristic tech-savvy tower, recently won the prestigious 'Best International Apartment' honour at the CNBC International Property Awards in Las Vegas.
Successful project
"The Pad has been a success since its inception. The diversity of The Pad owners and the response we are receiving reflect the appeal and interest that the project had across the globe," Amjad said.
The Pad will feature 231 intelligent homes, ranging from studios to one and two-bedroom apartments and various types of lofts, which will incorporate leading-edge technology.
"This is an important contract for Al Rostamani Pegel. The chance to work on a world-beating project such as The Pad is a career highlight for all involved," said Rolf Weber, executive director, Al Rostamani Pegel.
