Abu Dhabi: The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) will host its Second Global Financial Markets Workshop (GFMW) next month to address important topics in today's steadily evolving and challenging financial environment and enhance its partners' collective skills.

It will take place on April 5, 7, 8 and 12 and will build on last year's GFMW with the addition of a new workshop on Islamic financial institutions. With the addition of one more workshop, this year's event will be one day longer than last year's GFMW. Offering workshops on Islamic finance will offer a greater scope and participation in the event.

More than 160 participants are expected at the event, which will be held at the grand Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi and is organised by NBAD's Financial Market Division.

"NBAD strives to deliver the best value to our esteemed customers, clients and partners... Offering educational programmes is one way," said Michael Tomalin, NBAD Group Chief Executive.

"Global financial markets are continuously evolving, forcing us all to remain up-to-date with the latest trends and financial products," said Mahmoud Al Aradi, NBAD's Senior General Manager of the Financial Market Division.

The event will feature presentations on Gulf macro-economics by NBAD's Group Chief Economist Dr Gıyas Gökkent, and the Gulf credit markets by NBAD's Head of Credit Research, Chavan Bhogaita.
