Dubai: Mashreq credit card holders will now be able to buy the big-ticket items they have been eyeing without having to pay interest.
The bank is the latest to launch its "0 per cent Easy Payment Plan (EPP)" allowing customers to buy their dream items — from electronics, jewellery, fashion and home furnishings — and pay them later on instalments at zero interest.
The scheme allows card holders to plan their high-value purchases and convert their transactions at any of the participating 800 outlets to equated monthly instalments at no interest from the bank. Anyone is eligible to avail themselves of this offer, which is applicable to any purchase.
Nimish Dwivedi, head of payments at Mashreq, said they have partnered with a number of top brands across different categories to ensure customers' lifestyle needs are catered to.
"Customers can have their purchases converted into easy equated monthly instalment plans. All it needs is a phone call or an SMS to convert high-value transactions to 0 per cent EPP," he said.
Participating brands include Sharaf DG, Jacky's, Damas, Homes R Us, Joyalukkas, Al Haseena Jewellery, Fitness First, Al Futtaim Motors and Jumbo, among others. Those who would like to avail themselves of the offer are required to pay a one-time processing fee equivalent to one per cent of the total transaction amount.
