Interpol scraps notice for Knox
The Interpol notice on Eirvin Knox, chief executive of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, has been cancelled, ADCB said in a statement.
Dubai: The Interpol notice on Eirvin Knox, chief executive of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, has been cancelled, ADCB said in a statement.
The case in the Philippines that was the basis for the Interpol notice was filed without his knowledge and without due process based on totally false allegations, the bank said. Knox's legal representatives have resolved this through the authorities in the Philippines and with the Interpol headquarters in Lyon, France.
The posting of an Interpol notice for a family issue is highly unusual.
Knox expressed his "appreciation for the outpouring of support from colleagues and business leaders in Abu Dhabi, the UAE and from around the world and said he is grateful that the matter is resolved and his name cleared".
