IDB seeks to improve operations
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will organise a brainstorming session aimed at exploring novel ideas and insights on improving its operations. The session will be held today at the bank's headquarters in Jeddah.
Jeddah: The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will organise a brainstorming session aimed at exploring novel ideas and insights on improving its operations. The session will be held today at the bank's headquarters in Jeddah.
The meeting will also include discussions to exchange ideas related to mobilising funds for the recently established Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development aimed at combating poverty and unemployment in Muslim countries.
The session will also discuss ways to promote intra trade between the Organisation of Islamic Countries and the role of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, affiliate member of the bank.
The session, which coincides with the meeting of the bank's board of executive directors will be attended by Dr. Ebrahim Bin Abdul Aziz Al Assaf, Minister of Finance, IDB Governor for Saudi Arabia, former and current members of the board of executive directors, the IDB president and former and current IDB vice-presidents.
