The new network will replace the current two networks, namely Al Shamel and Al Watani, and will come under the central command of the apex bank.

Hamoud Bin Sangour Al Zadjali, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman, told ONA that the new unified network will enable all financial institutions and establishments operating in the Sultanate to shift to a joint financial platform which is modern and enjoys the highest security criteria that are standard worldwide.

The network is also distinguished for its high rate of speed and efficiency.

Two services being added to the network are a brief statement of accounts and transfers from one account to another.
