Abu Dhabi: The Central Bank and banks operating in the UAE, on Wednesday held their third quarterly meeting as part of the quarterly consultative meetings. The meeting was chaired by Mubarak Rashed Al Mansouri, the Governor, and attended by Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair, the Chairman of the UAE Banks Federation as well as Chief Executive Officers of banks operating in the UAE. At the beginning of the meeting, the Governor thanked President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the confidence placed in him to serve the UAE. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to Sultan Bin Nasser Al Suwaidi for the sincere efforts he has made over the past period in promoting the UAE financial system, wishing him all the best. The meeting discussed issues relating to the Mobile Wallet initiative as well as the regulation regarding the financing of shares in companies under formation.
