Dubai: Social media users have expressed amazement over how the pilots of Emirates’ superjumbo managed to land safely at an airport in Germany despite very strong winds.

A dramatic video by an aircraft spotter captured the UAE airline’s Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger plane, that was attempting to land at Dusseldorf, Germany on Thursday and it has gone viral since.

In the three-minute clip, the aircraft was shown approaching the airport amid strong gusty winds. The moment it touched the ground, the mega plane bounced and swerved heavily, as pilots tried to align it with the tarmac.

It was said to be one of the most dangerous landings caught on camera and as of Sunday, it has attracted more than 7.2 million views.

“This video shows the incredible skills of the pilots. Even after an unexpected wind gust after touchdown, they managed to re-align with the runway. Incredible job by the pilots,” Cargospotter said in its post.

“Wow, crazy drifting. Amazing pilot skills,” said one Youtube user.
