Dubai: Flights between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK) have not been affected by the St Jude storm lashing parts of Britain on Monday.

The London Heathrow and London Gatwick websites have advised passengers to check their flight status and allow extra time for their journey to the airport.

“Severe weather is forecast for Heathrow, southern England and northern Europe. These weather conditions are likely to cause disruption to flights, including cancellations,” the Heathrow airport said on its website.

There are no travel notifications or warnings on the Abu Dhabi or Dubai Airport websites.

Worsening weather conditions have hit other airlines and transportation networks across the UK, but Etihad and Emirates have not posted any delays or cancellations.

Airport websites in the UAE and UK have all UAE-London flights currently listed as scheduled or on-time.
