UAE signs air services deal with Mauritania

The deal allows unrestricted frequencies, capacity and types of aircraft to be operated by the designated airlines of each country

Dubai: The UAE signed an Air Services Agreement (ASA) with Mauritania on Sunday to enhance the cooperation in air transport between the two countries.

The agreement includes grant of rights, designation of air carriers for each country, principles governing operations of agreed services, customs duties and other charges,  Aviation Safety and Security, and settlement of disputes.

It also includes articles for exchange of information, transfer of funds, commercial activities, code sharing and user charges.

The signed agreement allows unrestricted frequencies, capacity and types of aircraft, whether owned, interchanged or leased, to be operated by the designated airlines of each country in passenger or cargo service on the route between the UAE and Republic of Mauritania.

The agreement also includes, in addition to the third and fourth freedoms, the practice of fifth freedom traffic rights on intermediate and beyond points of their choice without any restriction while operating any type of airline services.
