Dubai: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, chairman of Sharjah civil aviation department, on Tuesday officially inaugurated the Sharjah Airport Travel Agency’s (SATA) new branch in Dubai.

The ceremony was attended by Dr Ganem Al Hajri, chairman, Sharjah Airport Authority, Ali Salim Al Midfa, director general of Sharjah Airport Authority, Shaikh Khalid Bin Isam Al Qasimi, director general, department of civil aviation and Arshad Munir, general manager of SATA, other government officials, airlines and trade partners.

Al Hajri said: “The opening of the new branch in Dubai is in line with the management’s directives of strategically expanding SATA’s network of branches and delivering the best services to all its clients.”

He added: “We have the pleasure to add a new branch to our constantly growing network. We believe that the Dubai branch will provide the best and most innovative products and travel solutions to all our discerning customers according to the highest travel and ticketing standards. We will remain faithful to our expansion plans by opening new branches in vital areas. We believe that it is very important to access the important market such as Dubai which will contribute to increase SATA’s customer base. It reflects positively on its operations and revenues. This is the first branch in Dubai and 11th branch in the UAE which will add a substantial value to SATA network in 2012.”

Arshad Munir said: “Adding another feather to the cap, we are opening our 11th branch in City Bay Centre, next to Ramada Continental hotel opposite Abu Hail Metro station 2, Dubai. The location is one of the most easily accessed, with Abu Hail Metro station and Abu Hail bus stand just a few yards away. We always hope to deliver our customers something distinct and extraordinary, keeping in pace with our expansion plan. This branch is manned by experienced and highly trained travel professionals who will endeavour to provide seamless service to all our clients visiting this location.”

He added: “We aspire to widen our aspects by opening our next branch in Abu Dhabi and shortly open our branches in other emirates very soon.”
