Dubai: Qatar Airways said on Tuesday it will start direct flights to Maputo, Mozambique on March 27, replacing a service that currently stops via South Africa.

The Doha-based airline will continue with its thrice-weekly services when it launches direct flights while also maintaining its services to Johannesburg, South Africa, its current stopover on Maputo flights, according to a statement on its website.
