Dubai: Qatar Airways has issued an advisory for its passengers to guide them if they are affected after the cancellation of flights between Qatar and the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt

Will all flights to/from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt be cancelled?

Qatar Airways flights to Saudi Arabia were cancelled on June 5. Flights to the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt were cancelled on June 6 until further notice. Passengers with tickets to and from these countries between these dates are allowed to rebook flights up to 30 days after the current confirmed departure date for free. Unused portions of tickets within this period can be refunded but service fees are non-refundable.

How do I go about rebooking or refunding my ticket?

Passengers who booked their tickets on qatarairways.com can go online or call to request a refund. For tickets booked through a Qatar Airways office or through the contact centre, passengers should call for refunds. The refund will be made to the original form of payment and the refund will be processed within 14-28 days. Passengers who have purchased tickets through a travel agency can request their refund from the issuing travel agent.

Other airlines have already suspended flights to Qatar; how will the passenger traffic move out of the respective countries?

In line with IATA regulations, airlines whose flights are disrupted will rebook affected passengers.

Which airlines will passengers be allowed to take to travel from/to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt?

Passengers holding confirmed Qatar Airways tickets will be re-accommodated according to availability on other carriers.

Will flights to Europe and the Americas be affected in any way?

They will not be affected.

How will the UAE, Bahraini, Saudi and Egyptian nationals residing in Qatar be affected?

Residents of these countries should contact their respective embassies for further direction.

How will passengers transiting through Doha be affected?

No further travel restrictions have been applied.

Can passengers transiting through Doha cancel their tickets?

Passengers holding confirmed and paid tickets for affected flights will be able to cancel their tickets as explained in Question 1. All other passengers will be able to rebook as per their existing fare conditions.

When will the flights between Qatar and the affected countries be re-instated?

Passengers should visit qatarairways.com for further updates.

Will Qatar Airways offices in affected countries close down?

These offices will continue to operate as normal until further notice.

I have all my holidays booked to travel on Qatar Airways. Will you reimburse hotel charges and transportation to the airport if the flights are cancelled?

We will refund Qatar Airways tickets as per the conditions of carriage.
