Muscat: Oman Air is starting flights to the Indian city of Bangalore, an airline official said on Saturday.
Bangalore is the airline's 10th destination in India. There will be five flights to Bangalore each week.
"India is our most profitable route since we have a large contingent of Indian expatriates in Oman," said Abdulrazzaq Al Raisi, the airline's senior sales manager.
On Thursday, Dubai-based airline Emirates said it would add 18 flights per week beginning in July to three of its current Indian destinations, including Bangalore.
