Dubai: Heavy fog that blanketed Dubai on Saturday morning disrupted flights at Dubai international airport.
A spokesman of Emirates airline said the company booked hotel rooms for passengers whose flights were affected.
Meanwhile, Emirates flights leaving Frankfurt were affected by security personnel protest at Frankfurt Airport, causing flight cancellations that affected thousands of passengers on Friday.
The strike delayed the departure of EK 48 flight, which was scheduled on February 21. The flight left Frankfurt airport on February 22 at 2pm. Emirates airline provided hotel accommodation for passengers.
Regular air traffic at Frankfurt airport is expected to resume after security staff suspended their strike.
